Katie Lee Person

Katie Lee Trottman Person passed away August 1, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 27, 1930 in Guthrie, Kentucky. She was a gracious, kind, gentle and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Katie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Sidney C. Person, her parents Rosa Lee White Trottman and Howell Allen Trottman of Brownsville, TN and her brother Howell "Bubba" Trottman.

Katie leaves three daughters, Nancy Pitts (Jim), Debra Godwin Benke (Vern) and Jan Scott (Stephen).

"Mimi" as she was lovingly known also leaves five grandchildren, Leigh Murley Phillips (John), John Malouf, Jr., Chase Bradford (Todd), Justin Malouf (Parrish) and Nicholas Godwin (Amanda).

Her nine great grandchildren include John III and Doty Malouf, Knox and Ollie Bradford, Lily and Bet Malouf, Sydney Kate Muley, Waylon and Wyatt Godwin. Sister-in-law "sister" Mary Frances Trottman.

Katie was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.

The service will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Collierville Funeral Home with visitation from 9am to 10am followed by the service at 10am with burial at Magnolia Cemetery immediately following.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to all the wonderful care givers for their kind and loving support to our mother.
