Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, TN. She was born to the late Carl and Helen Brigance on January 19, 1948 in Holly Springs, MS. Mary was a strong Christian woman and attended Kirk Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mary treasured spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Voyles. She leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Richard Smith; two children: Terry Carter and Sherri Parks (Kevin); two step children: Paul Smith and Tammy Kirk (Mack); and three siblings, Jimmy Brigance (Sarah), Roger Brigance (Patti), and Linda Davidson. Mary also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, whom she adored dearly. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W Poplar Ave. Collierville, TN 38017.
