Born in Hiawatha, KS on March 4, 1940, Bob graduated from Kansas University. He had a long career in retail sales management and advertising.
Bob had a silly sense of humor and he loved his friends. Wherever he went, he was able to meet folks and immediately find a connection. He loved animals, cookies, music, and making people laugh. His family moved to Collierville in 1989, and they have been members of Peterson Lake Baptist Church ever since. Of the things he was proud of in life, there was nothing more important than his love for the Lord. He was a faithful Christian, a devoted husband and an amazing dad. His life truly reflected Christ.
Mr. Corken is survived by his wife of 55 years, Annette; and his children, Kathleen Smith (Matthew), Erin Turner (Hanson), and Bobby Corken; and his sister, Pat Sublett (Steve).
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peterson Lake Baptist Church,832 Peterson Lake Rd, Collierville, TN 38017, followed by a Celebration of Life service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Peterson Lake Baptist Church is located behind Christ Community Church on Peterson Lake Road.
Lasting memorials in honor of Mr. Corken may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
