Stephen Tazwell Moore

Born on August 24, 1944 to Mr. John Thomas and Mary Frances Miller Moore in

Starkville, MS, Steve was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Steve graduated with his Master’s Degree of Science in Entomology from

Mississippi State University. He worked for Ciba-Geigy (Ciba, Novartis) and the

state of Mississippi until he retired in 2010. Steve loved being with family, playing

golf and cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Steve leaves his devoted wife of 52 years of marriage, Carolyn L. Moore; children

Tracy Moore Forbes (Carlo) and John Taylor Moore (Catherine); grandchildren

Mary Frances, Jack, Mia Elizabeth, West, Shepherd, Roman, Jude and Cate; and

his siblings Susie Allen (Ben), Melinda Boland (Joe), Robert Moore (JoAnn),

Marilyn Blakeslee (Ed). He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest

brother, John Tom (Edeltraud).

A small private memorial service with the immediate family will be held to

celebrate the life of Steve. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations

be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in honor of Stephen T. Moore.

Steve will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His humor and bright smile will

be missed by all who knew him and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who

were fortunate enough to know him.
