She is pre deceased by parents Thomas and Janet Lawson as well as adored granddaughter, Nicole Wilson. She is survived by her beloved husband Dr. Richard Wilson, children Sally (Joseph) Duva, Christopher (Deirdre) Wilson, Richard Wilson; loving grandchildren Adrianna, Victoria, Kelly, Blake, Luke, Riley, Brody, Tyler and Gabe. In addition to family, JoEllen also leaves behind many loved close friends.
JoEllen is most remembered as being an attentive and devoted mother as well as a loving and deeply dedicated grandmother. A registered nurse, JoEllen was always known to volunteer her time and resources to many groups and organizations including the medical auxiliary at Sacred Heart Hospital and Meals-on Wheels program. She was involved in her children’s school activities, acted as a Brownie scout troop leader, and steadfastly attended her grandchildren’s sports events, beaming with support and pride. JoEllen loved to watch Philadelphia Eagles games, play tennis, lunch with girlfriends and spend time with her family at Sea Isle City for yearly family vacations; her most treasured memories. Her loving, kind and generous nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A burial will take place Saturday August 4, 2018 12:00PM at Albert Cemetery (Rippletown Cemetery) Church Road (State Route 2047) Mountain Top, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
