Pam, I think of you often. I am sorry about John's passing. Please don't shut me out. I was never obsessed with you. As I was told. I really loved  you and would have done anything for you. Somehow things went array.

Pam, what a terrible shock to hear of John's passing. While I didn't know John closely, I seemed to have become a friend through Corky's stories. My deepest sympathy.

We are so sorry. We cannot stop thinking about you and your family. We hope you feel how loved you are.

Remembering John, the first thing that comes to mind is "A True Gentleman".  We were blessed to meet John, Pam, and their Boys 12 years ago at Shelter  Harbor and from every day since they have been more than friends... They are Family.  Because that's how John made you feel.  Always greeted with that charismatic smile, a firm handshake, or a hug.  As young parents new to boating, and the marina life, John quickly took us under his wing showing us the ropes (sometimes helping to tie them right!) and teaching us the right way to do everything, because we knew nothing.  John was always sincerely interested in talking about "your" life, "your" day, or "your" family.  He would share his life experiences with you in the hopes that somehow it would help... it always did... We called John the "Mayor" of Shelter Harbor as you would often find John making introductions of fellow boaters or helping to solve issues that would make the summer better for all.  Carol, Eddie, Elle, and I are going to miss our friend...  we have so many amazing memories with John and would have loved to make more.  But we know God has a plan for John.  And without a doubt I know he is up in heaven doing what he does best, working to make life better for others as he did so often for families like ours.  God Bless Pam and the Cahill Family and give them the strength to persevere through this time of sorrow.

John was wonderful to Mikey, Jess and me. He treated us like family from the first time we met.  We have so many great memories of John.  He was especially kind to Mikey when he needed it most. John is with Paul now and he will be forever in our thoughts.

Long time boater friend at Shelter Harbor Marina and an all around great guy.

When our girls were little, John was one of the only Captain's we trusted to have them on board his boat. We all loved him so much! He will be greatly missed. Pam we love you!!!

So sorry for you loss as we know it is very hard to loose a loved one we will keep praying for you

Pam, and everyone;
 I am so sorry.  John was such a great guy, and fun to be around when we were still in our teens.  Many memories, and stories, that can't be told, but all good honest fun!  The "Governor Mansion" wasn't in Princeton, it was on Park Ave., and we always felt safe with the State Police outside.  We all grew up to be pillars of society, in spite of what people thought would happen.  My Mom will be in line to greet him, she LOVED John.  Remember his smile!

John was the very first person Cindi and I met at Shelter Harbor 1998. He was in his engine compartment of their 34 Sundancer at the time :-) 

John welcomed us into his circle there. The times on C dock were some of the best times of our lives. We had such good friends. John was the heart of it. 

John was always there for us. He was right there after Cindi's mom's accident. He was the one who got the state police boat for Cindi when our daughter CC was almost born on the boat. 1st to come visit the twins. All last winter he and Pam came to the mostly empty coffee houses to support CC. Just the other day John helped me set up all CC's equipment for her debut at The Sand Bar. He cared about our kids like they were his own. BTW, John loves his sons unconditionally and he is a great example of how to be a father. He and Pam raised two of the nicest people I know. 

John cared about so many people and there kids. My kids know him as Uncle John. They love him as do we. After our mutual friend Paul died he treated Mikey, Paul's son, this same way. 

This was a fast and BIG loss for so many. We are lucky to have known John and to have John and Pam as part of our family.
