Lillian Louise Bonacquisti (nee Kruckner), age 91, of Collingswood, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 23, 2023. She was born in Berlin, NJ, on June 18, 1931 to the late Lillian Marie (nee Beesley) and Herman Kruckner, Jr. She is preceded in death by her twin sister Caroline (Dolly) Wynocker, sister Janet Oberle.
Lillian was educated in the Berlin, NJ school district until she graduated from Overbrook High School in 1949. After high school, Lillian worked as a Secretary for The Insurance Company of North American and then as an Executive Secretary for the CEO of Philco Service Company. Lillian then stopped working to be a full-time, stay-at-home mom and raise her children.
If anyone was ever looking for Lillian, she could always be found sewing, planning the next family vacation, or gardening. It seems each summer her garden got bigger and bigger filled with tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, & string beans. Lillian also enjoyed baking. Her cakes, pies, and cookies were so good, her husband Joe thought of opening a Bakery Shop for her. Lillian enjoyed worshiping at Kingsway Assembly of God Church in Cherry Hill, NJ every Sunday with her husband Joe.
Lillian’s greatest joy came from her 65 year marriage to her beloved husband Joseph Bonacquisti who will miss her dearly. They were married on October 12, 1957 and lived for 65 years in the same beautiful Victorian home in Collingswood, NJ. During their years together Lillian had 3 children; her daughter Karen (Michael) Mathern from Fort Myers, FL, her son Dr. Joseph (Denby) Bonacquisti of Charlotte, NC, and her youngest son Steven (Jonnetta) Bonacquisti of Florence, NJ. She also had 3 grandchildren Dr. Ryan (Jenna) Mathern of Charlotte, NC, Mitchell (fiance’ Amy) Mathern of Moorestown, NJ and Emma Bonacquisti of Charlotte, NC.
Lillian is survived by her brother Herman (Sylvia) Kruckner of Medford Lakes, NJ, brother Raymond (Rong) Kruckner of Acto, NJ, and sister Marjorie (Gerry) Hagquist of Berlin, NJ and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 W Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ on Saturday, April 1, 2023, 9:45 AM, followed by a celebration of life at 10:45 AM. Entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park (Cinnaminson, NJ).
