Paul Francis Pacera passed away peacefully December 6, 2017. He is predeceased by parents Joseph A. and Cecilia F. (nee Fitzgibbon) and brother Gregory John. He is survived by his loving siblings Dr. J. Hope Kilgannon (John), James (BethAnne) Joseph D. (Theresa) and Grace Pitner (Jaime).
Paul will always be remembered as the charismatic life of the party among his many friends and family. After sustaining an injury in 1991 that left him paralyzed, Paul spent the next 27 years in a wheelchair. Despite it all, Paul lived a very full, active life with the help of his dear friend and caregiver of 23 years, Debbie. He was an attentive and involved uncle to his nieces and nephews: Aidan, Elle, Neve, Jack, Noah, Nicole Marie and Hope Vala. He loved to attend Aidan’s baseball games at Knight’s Park.
Paul was an avid music lover, known for being a Grateful Dead, “Deadhead.” He attended many concerts, loved the beach, Eagles football, ice cream cake, and hanging out in the company of his many friends. Everyone will miss his humorous, gregarious nature.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, December 13th from 5:00pm –7:00pm at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home in Collingswood or on Thursday, December 14th, from 9:30 – 10:30am at St. John’s Church St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish: 809 Park Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A prayer service will take place at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly requests donations made to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital: 1513 Race St, Philadelphia, PA, 19102. Please leave your remembrances of Paul Pacera on www.BLAKE-DOYLE.com.
