

He served in the US Army from June 1943 to December 25, 1945 in the Pacific Theater in an anti-aircraft unit as a machine gunner and truck driver.
He married Agnes M. Orcutt on September 27, 1950. Together they raised seven children, Ann (Bill) Jones, Alice Jones, Alan (Julie) Wills, Amy Smith, Abby (Leroy) Mosher, Alma (Pete) Aargon and Andy Wills. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2012.
Alfred is survived by his seven children, his sisters Harriet (Wills) Hooper and Susan (Wills) Wyble. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandson.
He was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
Alfred and Agnes were baptized into the Lutheran Church on Maundy Thursday 1954 and never missed a Maundy Thursday service.
A Viewing will be held Thursday January 3rd, 2013 at Calhan Methodist Church from 5-7pm. The Funeral Service will be Friday January 4th at 10am, both will be held at Calhan Methodist Church,583 Denver St. with burial to follow at Calhan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Alfred requested donations be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice in La Junta, CO.
