Alma L. Smith

She was born December 5, 1917 at Bucklin, KS to Glenda Burton and Laura May (Thomas) Gresham who are deceased.

She is survived by a daughter, Glenna Carol Vincent of Martinez, CA, a son David Lowell Smith, Colorado Springs, one step daughter, Olive M. Vincent, San Luis Obispo, CA, one sister Evelyn Baird, San Luis Obispo, CA.

Also, 2 grandsons, 6 step-grandsons, four great-grandchildren, 17 step great-grandchildren and numerous step great-great-grandchildren.

She had a sister, Velsie Mildred Gresham, a brother Stanley Gresham, and a step daughter Margaret F. Teeter, who are deceased.

She was graduated from Dodge City Junior College, Dodge City, KS, in 1938.

She moved to Colorado Springs in August 1945 and had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Wesleyan Circle since September 1945. She taught children’s Sunday school for 34 years and was a member of Trinity Chancel Choir for 54 years.

Services will be at Trinity Methodist Church, 701 N. 20th St., Colorado Springs on Wednesday May 8, 2013. A visitation will take place at 10:00am with the funeral service to begin at 11:00am. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Greensburg, KS, next to her husband.
