

Anthony Cortez, 50, started his new adventure August 17,2010. Anthony was born in Colorado Springs, CO on August 19th, 1959 and continued to reside in his hometown up until his passing. He was born to Elois Cortez and Shirley Ann Cortez. While living in Colorado Springs he built a beautiful family and worked in the community. He is survived by his two children, Daniel and Megan Cortez; a brother and best friend Robert Cortez; a sister Patricia Guerin; a grandson Taylor Cortez; and his two furry companions Dillon and Bella.
Anthony graduated from Mitchell High School, and furthered his education where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado. He was an amazing father, grandfather, friend, and companion. His kindness, loyalty and genuine nature was incredible and irreplaceable. He lived his life to the fullest and provided to the highest capacity for his family throughout his life.
When Anthony was not working or enjoying time with his family he enjoyed other outdoor hobbies. He loved riding his Harley, working out and keeping up his lawn. He was depended on by so many and we love him so much, the amount he will be missed is indescribable. Dad, we will think of you every day and miss you all of the time. Please keep looking out for us, we know you will always have our backs.
A service will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Ave. Colorado Springs, CO 80909 at 11:30 am on Saturday August 21, 2010. In lieu of flowers please make donations on the behalf of Anthony Cortez to Children’s Diabetes Foundation at Denver.
