

Anthony C. Snyder, fondly known as Tony, died in the hospital on May 23, 2025, in Colorado Springs at the age of 94. Born on August 21, 1930, in Pringle, Pennsylvania, Tony lived a life marked by dedication, adventure, and love.
Tony proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting in 1950. His 23-year military career took him to various locations across the globe, including Japan, Germany, Thailand, Korea, and Canada. Tony's commitment and excellence were recognized as he achieved the esteemed rank of Chief Master Sergeant, the highest enlisted rank in the Air Force.
In 1956, Tony married the love of his life, Jean, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love and adventure, raising three children, Karen, Doug and Tom. Tony's family was his pride and joy, and he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
After retiring from the military, Tony pursued further education, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. This achievement led to a fulfilling career at the Department of Energy, where he worked for over a decade, continuing his lifelong commitment to service and excellence.
Tony was a man of generosity and kindness, always willing to help others, a trait that endeared him to all who knew him. His family and friends will remember him for his unwavering support and the warmth of his spirit. Tony leaves behind his beloved wife, Jean, his daughter, Karen (Husband Jon), his son, Tom, and his granddaughter, Chelsea, along with a legacy of love and service.
In our hearts, Tony will remain ever-present. As the saying goes, "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day... unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear." Tony, you were a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
