Bernice Barnes

Bernice Jessie Barnes, 91, born to Art and Clara Richardson, January 26th, 1920 in Hayes, Kansas, peacefully passed away January 28th, 2011. She was lifetime member of Eastern Star, Chapter 104, Liberal, Kansas and the Ladies VFW of Colorado Springs. Married in 1940 to John Hantla who passed away in 1977, second marriage to Francis Barnes in 1982. Bea was well known for her love and service to others, she was dedicated towards the loving care of her husband Frank. Bea is proceeded in death by her daughter Judy Viator, survived by husband Frank and sister Chleo, son Art Hantla of Sandy Utah, his wife Danette, grand children Jay, Don and Keith, grand daughter Kristin Lignell, her husband Elliot and great grand daughter Lindsey, grand son Eric Viator, his wife Susan, great grand children Matt and Lyssa. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 31st from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Pikes Peak Care Center, 2719 N. Union Blvd. Bea will be inurned at the Collyer Kansas city cemetery, next to her husband John Hantla. Peace be with you mom until we meet again, for blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
