Brian was born in Haverhill, MA, where he spent his early years growing up. He attended Greater Lowell Technical High School, where he studied Mechanical Drafting, and later went on to earn his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since graduating, Brian has been working a successful and storied career as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, where he was able to continually practice his passions for creating, design, and building.
Brian followed his passions across the United States, from the East Coast to the West Coast, and in between, where along the way he met his beautiful bride-to-be, Linda.
Linda and Brian were married in 1982, and recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. Together they raised five wonderful children: Jason, Rachel, Benjamin, Matthew, and Hannah, all of whom he loved deeply and profoundly. He continually aimed to create cherished memories together with all of them. Brian treasured his family, and spent his days working tirelessly to provide everything for them. He will leave behind a legacy of living his life continually in the service of others.
Wherever in life Brian happened to find himself, he'd find ways to benefit the lives around him. From working with ministries across the US, to leading countless Bible studies, not a day went by where he didn't live "to know Christ, to make Him known", and to shepherd all others around him to do the very same.
In 2010 Brian joined Rocky Mountain Calvary Prison Ministry, through which he impacted countless lives of those in need as a chaplain. Through many teachings, shepherdings, and leading by example, many were brought to realize the relief in the belief of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The world will forever be better off having had Brian in it. He will be greatly missed by many.
Brian is survived by his brother Edward, his beautiful wife Linda, his five children, and many, many grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held privately. Family and friends will be notified of the details. The family would like to express a very special thank you to those in the community who have reached out with their love and support. You are all very much appreciated.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.MtViewMortuary.com for the Nichols family.
