Doug, Nancy and Ken---- it was such a privilege to know your mother as well as your father.  Even though I was a new agent, they treated me as a new member of a very close-knit family.  I felt valued and welcome.  Your mother was a gracious lady and she always was ready with a hug.  I'm going to miss that.  Now that she is with your Dad, you three can rest easy.  Be glad for the many years they had together.

Carolyn was the primary reason that I love music. Sometimes you meet people that simply motivate you by their presence: this is most certainly the case with this wonderful woman. I will always remember listening to the Chopin piano concertos with her. It hurts so badly to say goodbye, but oblivion is more than even Chopin or Strauss could ever offer (however, I'm sure that Carolyn might argue the point).

We will greatly miss our good friend, and were very saddened to hear of her passing, but know that she is "home" with The Lord she loved so deeply.  What an example of a life well-lived--she was an honorable woman of faith and grace, and tremendous positive influence on so many. We love you, Mrs. Barber, and know that we will see you again in eternity!!

rejoicing with her she is now at
home with her LORD whom she loved and served so faithfully.
Carolyn, who lived her life with tremendous grace, was a remarkable, genteel, kind, lady who loved and was well-loved. And...oh how she loved her family! What a godly heritage Carolyn and Ken left their loved ones, and now each of you model Christ's love to us.
How blessed and honored we are to call Carolyn our special friend.
