David Duane Batchman

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of a beloved man whose warmth, humor, and kindness touched everyone he met.

David Duane Batchman, age 62, passed away on April 2nd 2026 surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 6th 1964 in Gardner, KS. He lived a life full of laughter, adventure, generosity and love. Known for his easy smile and welcoming spirit, he had a gift for making others feel at home—whether sharing a meal, a story, a toast or lending a helping hand.

He was a devoted son, nephew, brother, cousin, uncle, father, paw paw and friend, whose greatest joy came from time spent with family and friends. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he brightened and the memories he created.

Dave is survived by his parents Duane and Shirley Batchman; his sister Diana Danielson; his children Shaun Batchman, Amanda (Wendell) Fees, Jennifer (John) McKinnie-Evans; his grandchildren Nevaeh, Cheyenne, John Jr, Jarell, Renee, Lilliana, Sophia and great grandson Brantley. Along with many other relatives and friends, who will forever hold his memory close.

A celebration of his life will be held on May 31st 2026 in Estes Park, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to any Veteran Organization of your choosing in his honor. He was an Army Veteran so he held veterans very close to his heart.

Though he may no longer be with us, may his spirit continue to inspire love, laughter and kindness in all who knew him and may his memory forever remain in our hearts, reminding us to live each day with love and gratitude.
