Dennis was born January 5th, 1972 in Colorado Springs, CO on the Fort Carson Army Base to Trudy and Dennis Purcell Sr. Dennis was the first of three children.
Growing up in Colorado Springs he loved to ride his big wheel, draw, sing, and was infatuated with trucks. Dennis graduated from Douglas County High School in 1991.
After high school, Dennis graduated from Pikes Peak Community College with an associate degree in criminology. In later years he obtained his CDL license and drove a truck for Swift cross Country. As an adult he loved all things creative; painting, drawing, woodworking. He loved country music and writing his own poetry and songs.
Dennis is survived by his children, James Godby, Denise and her husband Jason Sutton, Allison Purcell, Gregory Purcell and his grandchild, Nevaeh; Siblings, Stephanie and her husband Zach Games, and Aaron Purcell; Parents, Dennis and Trudy Purcell; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, from 2:30PM-4:30PM, at the Woodmoor
Barn Community Center, 1691 Woodmoor Drive, Monument, Colorado 80132.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Springs Rescue Mission.
