Don was a devoted husband and father who served on the Colorado Springs Fire Department for 28 years. Don retired from the Fire Department in 1986, after which, he worked for a short time at a fishing tackle store, which, if you know Don, was right in his wheelhouse.
Don was a handyman, working on many household projects for his family and friends. He was the father of three sons, Lonnie who passed away in 2002, Rodger, who passed in 2007 and Brian. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Jean, and his son, Brian.
Don loved fishing and his family, and was always prepared with a good Dad joke and had a wise crack for every occasion. He will be greatly missed!
Services will be held on July 18th at 10:30 a.m. in the Cathedral Room at First Presbyterian Church 219 E. Bijou St., Colorado Springs, Colorado.
