Born on August 2, 1929, Donald was the son of Kris and Othilde Kvols of Wisner, Nebraska. He married Eileen Hasenkamp on January 23, 1949 and had 5 children: Karen Cox of Estes Park, Kathy Tuck of Colorado Springs, Kelly Kvols of Colorado Springs, Kevin Kvols of Steamboat Springs and Kenneth Kvols of Black Forest. Don has 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Don was a self-taught businessman. He and Eileen purchased the town of Ferncliff, CO. in 1966, which he and his family ran for 35 years. Don and Eileen made Black Forest, CO their home when they semi-retired in 2000.
Don was preceded in passing by his wife Eileen, siblings Damon Kvols and Norma Pollard and his daughter Karen Cox.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2107 from 10-11 a.m. with Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. at Black Forest Lutheran Church, 12455 Black Forest Rd with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Rd.
