Edith Fae Pfost (Arment) Sedman, was born on August 21, 1920, on the family farm in Dayton Township, Kansas to Sylvester Pfost and Mary Myrtle Benham Pfost. She was the middle of 14 children. On August 21, 1937 Edith married Robert Arment, who preceded her in death in 1957. Together they had seven children. She married Allan “Mike” Sedman on June 3, 1961. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Edith enjoyed travelling, being outdoors and working in her yard. She was an avid porcelain doll maker and was a multi-time Colorado State Fair Champion “Best of Class” in ceramic and dolls. She was an incredible and much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, 12 siblings, 2 daughters - Dorothy McKay and Marilyn Hunter; 2 granddaughters - Debbie Bowen and Rebecca Arment, and 2 great-granddaughters - Danielle McKay and April Haines. Edith is survived by 5 her children: Loretta Garcia of Commerce City, CO; Barbara Bondurant (Neal), Bernece Hankins, Pat Arment (Alice), and Ted Arment (Linda) all of Colorado Springs; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Private burial will be held Monday, May 6, 2013. A celebration of life service will be held later in the summer.
