Fernando J. Rodriguez

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Fernando J. Rodriguez, a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather and loyal friend on Monday, May 26, 2025. Fernando was 76 years old. He was born in Lima, Peru, and lived a full life of love, laughter, and unwavering support for his family.

Fernando was the beloved husband of Patricia Rodriguez for almost 53 years, a partnership built on shared dreams and a deep, enduring love. He was a proud father to Claudia Fauber and Fernando Rodriguez, Jr., and their respective spouses, Rob and Lisa Marie, a devoted grandfather to Isabella and Jackson Fauber. He was also a loving brother to his sister Susy Shell and her husband Bill, Enrique Rodriguez and his wife Patty, and Adriana Rodriguez, and a very loving uncle to Richard Jones, Jr., William Shell III, Enrique, Alonso, and Alexandra Rodriguez, and Sandra Patroni and Kevin Nichols.

Fernando was known for his honesty, hard work, and special connection with people from all paths of life, his passion for pickleball, and his love for traveling with family to sunny beaches. He was a Senior Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst at Verizon for 36 years since the inception of MCI, always striving for excellence and making a positive impact on his colleagues. He was the recipient of three Excellence in Service awards in recognition of his outstanding work.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 10:00 a.m. MST at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Colorado Springs (2650 Parish View, Colorado Springs, Co 80919), and the mass will be streamed on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUQB9oyXwHM followed by internment of the urn at St. Francis Columbarium, and reception immediately thereafter at the St. Francis of Assisi Church Hall. There, we will forever cherish the memories we shared with Fernando. He was a truly remarkable man, and his love will live in our hearts.

Con gran pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Fernando J. Rodriguez, ocurrido el lunes 26 de mayo de 2025. Fernando tenía 76 años y nació en Lima, Perú. Fue un esposo amoroso, un padre devoto, un abuelo querido y un amigo leal. Vivió una vida plena de amor, risas y siempre apoyando incondicionalmente a su familia.

Fernando fue el amado esposo de Patricia Rodriguez durante casi 53 años; una unión cimentada en sueños compartidos y un amor profundo y duradero. Fue el padre orgulloso de Claudia Fauber y Fernando Jr. y sus conyugues, Rob y Lisa Marie y un abuelo muy amoroso de Isabella y Jackson Fauber. También fue un hermano cariñoso de Susy Shell y Bill, Enrique y Patty y Adriana Rodriguez y un tío comprensivo de Richard Jones Jr., William Shell III, Enrique, Alonso y Alexandra Rodriguez y Sandra Patroni y Kevin Nichols.

Fernando era conocido por su honestidad, su tenacidad en el trabajo y su conexión especial con personas de todos los ámbitos de vida, su pasión por el pickleball y su amor por viajar con su familia a playas soleadas. Fue programador y analista de sistemas en Verizon durante 36 años, desde la creación de MCI, siempre esforzándose arduamente y generando un impacto positivo en sus colegas. Recibió tres premios a la Excelencia en el Servicio en reconocimiento a su destacada labor.

El sábado, 28 de junio de 2025, a las 10:00 a.m., hora de Colorado, se llevará a cabo una celebración de vida en la Iglesia de San Francisco de Asís de Colorado Springs). La misa será transmitida en vivo de https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUQB9oyXwHM. Posteriormente la urna se colocará en el columbario y acto seguido se ofrecerá una recepción en el salón parroquial. Allí, atesoraremos para siempre los recuerdos que compartimos con Fernando.

Fue un hombre verdaderamente especial y su amor vivirá en nuestros corazones.
