

Francisco (Frank) Santiago passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at home in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his loving family surrounding him. He was born in Umatac, Guam December 15, 1928 the firstborn of Vicente and Maria Santiago.
Frank came to the U.S. as a young man and joined the Air Force in 1948. He served his country for 22 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was then a Civil Servant for 20 years. During his post in Kansas City, MO he met his lovely wife, Wanda, marrying her on August 1, 1953. He was devoted to his faith and his family. He enjoyed bowling, singing, playing his guitar and ukulele, and fishing.
To cherish Frank’s memory, he leaves behind his devoted wife of 60 years Wanda (Capps); loving children, Frankie Santiago of Tucson; Maria (Ronnie) Nelson of Colorado Springs; Tony Santiago of Colorado Springs; Ben Santiago of San Diego; John Santiago of Dallas; Daniel Santiago of Colorado Springs; Teresa (Tim) Salash of Monument; precious grandchildren, Frankie, Justin, Joshua, Jayson, Brandon, Alexandra, Theron, Traimee, Caleb and Trey; siblings, Stella (predeceased), Mariano (predeceased), Antonio, Ben, Helen, John, Andy, Jose, and Randolph; and four great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and special sister in law Loretta Hankins.
A mass of celebration of life will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rosary and viewing will be held at 10am with a memorial mass at 11am, with a reception hosted by the Santiago family immediately following. Burial will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 1:15pm in Denver, Colorado.
