Frankie Denise Baxley, better known as Neci by her close friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2013 after an arduous battle with ALS. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on September 2, 1963 to Frank and Lillian Bustamento. She was the youngest of four daughters.
Neci was born into this world a spitfire. As a child, she was fearless, strong, and passionate in her love for horses and motorbikes. Despite her feisty and tomboy nature, she soon blossomed into a selfless and genuinely kind woman who never failed to exhibit her internal and external beauty to the fullest. Neci had the ability to walk into any room and immediately light it up. She could capture anyone’s attention by flashing her beautiful smile, infectiously laughing, or gracing you with her magnetic personality. However, her true pride and passion were her children.
She leaves behind her children, Ashtin and Zack, who fully reciprocate her unconditional love. Additionally, she is survived by her mother and father, Frank and Lillian Bustamento, sisters and their husbands, Tess and Jim Mayes, Debbie Miller, and Susan and Steve Warntjes as well as her nieces and nephews Tyler and Morgan Hemphill, Hannah Warntjes, and Andrew McCarger. Her nephew, Justin Kalas, precedes her in death.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade, Colorado Springs.
