Frank was born on December 19, 1936, at Bethel Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sybil Brewer, his sister, Sally Robertson, and his two sons Michael and Douglas.
Frank graduated from Colorado Springs High School in June 1954. On June 23, 1957, Frank married the love of his life, Barbara McGee, in Raton, New Mexico, and they raised seven children in Colorado Springs. He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 67 years, his sons Jeff (Justina) and Andy (Colleen), and daughters Jenny (Bill), Mindy (Randall), and Elizabeth (Kevin). He also has ten grandchildren, Evan, Aubrey, Cameron, Will, Zach, Olivia, Ethan, Ava, Reagan, and Joshua, and five great-grandsons, Blake, Grayson, Winston, Rhett, and Elio, a niece and three nephews.
In his younger years, Frank enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and motorcycling through the Rockies. He loved teaching his grandsons and granddaughters how to fish. Every beautiful day he was eager to return to his favorite fishing spots in Eleven Mile Reservoir, Skagway Lake, Manchester Creek, or go for a ride with Barbara up Ute Pass towards Deckers. He was self-employed in the upholstery and vinyl repair industry. He worked hard to provide for his family until he was 80 years of age.
Frank was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in June 1962 along with Barbara. Frank served as a congregation elder, supporting many congregations in Colorado Springs. He based his life on putting his God, Jehovah first in his life and was committed to unselfishly serving others. One of the ways that he did this was through his involvement with the Hospital Liaison Committee for Colorado Springs. In this capacity, he helped innumerable individuals and families deal with stressful medical issues, acting as a liaison between hospital administration and doctors and the patients and their families. Frank felt that serving his spiritual family in this capacity was one of his greatest joys and privileges.
In addition to his physical family, many of those who came to know him viewed Frank and Barbara as their parents, and were greatly loved in return. Frank truly never met a stranger, he felt every new person he met was his friend.
Frank knew that even if something should happen and he would fall asleep in death, his heavenly Father would remember him and resurrect him in due time. So, while our hearts are heavy, our hope is bright.
