Gail was born March 26, 1962 in Iowa City to Don Warkentin and Ruth Affleck. She was the third child and her siblings were Mark Warkentin and Laurie Zaring. Gail graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1980.
During Law School Gail met Paul Young in 1990 in Boulder, Colorado. They were married 1994. Together they had a wonderful son Alec Young and he was born in 2000.
Gail enjoyed scuba diving, reading and biking.
Gail is survived by her husband, Paul Young and son, Alec Young and parents, Donald and Ruth Warkentin.
