Herman Frederick Harder was born in Bennington, Kansas to parents Mary A. and Herman J. Harder. He was a long time Colorado Springs resident, moving here in April, 1953. Herman was in the Army Air Corp from January 1942 to February 1946. Herman received an honorable discharge at the rank of Captain. He was a Material Control Manager, Colo. Interstate Gas, and retired in 1977. On April 16, 1944, Herman married loving wife Florence Elizabeth (Klaus).
Herman is survived by his wife, Florence, son Gary (Linda) Harder, grandson Scott Harder and great grandchildren Joshua and Elisabeth Harder. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Herman Gregory Harder, sisters Hilda Stickley and Angie Wagner, as well as his brother Wilbur Harder.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at Memorial Gardens, 10:00 am, Friday, May 14, 2010.
