Ingrid Elly Woods, age 77, passed away on December 27, 2011, after a long struggle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was born in Bütow, Germany on April 30, 1934, to the late Fritz and Helene Zielke. Working for the US Air Force in Germany, Ingrid married the late Edwin C. Woods. After living in Washington, Germany and Hawaii, their family settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Once their children were older she enjoyed working in retail management with Casual Corner. Ingrid is survived by her sister, Bruni; brother, Horst; daughter, Marina and her husband, Charlie; and son, Bill and his wife, Liping. Three grandchildren, Michael, Miranda, and Eric, and three great grandchildren also survive her. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Heinz, and Ursula. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 10:00 am at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Pikes Peak Hospice.
