Jacqueline Spector – Born September 14, 1932 to Marguerite and Jean Emmanuel Lacoste. Raised in Limoges France with sister Heloise and brother Gilbert; she was the baby of her family. She met Alan F. Spector in France in the mid 1950’s – he fell in love with her and never forgot her. After a long 7 year separation they were reunited as she immigrated to the United States and married Alan in February of 1961 in Orange, Connecticut. She became an American citizen that year and joined her husband overseas in Germany, shortly after receiving her citizenship.
Jackie, as she liked her friends to call her, had two children David E. Spector born in October 1962 and Tamara A. (Spector) Crandall born in February 1964 while they were stationed in Würzburg Germany. They returned to the US and were stationed in Oklahoma and then on to Ft. Carson, Colorado. Jackie had her third child Gregory S.(Grey) Spector in July 1970 in Colorado Springs, while Alan was in Vietnam. Jackie and Alan would return to Germany two more times once in 1972-1977 to Heidelberg and again in 1985-1986 before settling in Colorado Springs permanently. They owned several homes in the Colorado Springs area and Jackie enjoyed her daily life as a mom and wife. After all the kids moved out they bought a condominium so Alan could skip yard work. Always a gracious hostess, Jackie made many friends and had many visits from those who loved her cooking and her stories.
She is survived by her children; Son David Spector and Daughter in Law Karen Spector of Kirkwood MO; Daughter Tamara Crandall and Son-in-Law Steven Crandall of Aurora CO. Her grandchildren; Ryan Spector; James (Jimmy) Erlsten and Hannah Erlsten.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alan, her child Gregory, her father Jean Emmanuel and her mother Marguerite, brother Gilbert and sister Heloise.
