James R. Davis 92, passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2017. He was born in Lakeview, GA to Emily and Hugh Davis.
He retired from the US Army having served in WWII, postwar Japan and the Korean War. He retired from a Civil Service position at Peterson AFB. James finished his career as a greeter for Wal-Mart.
Jim is survived by his wife Yaeko of 62 yrs. of marriage, a brother Ernest Davis, his son James R. Davis Jr. and daughter Marie Marcum, 5 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pikes Peak Hospice and Union Printers Home for their dedication and patient care that was provided for our dad.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 from 12:30-1:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO.
