

James (Jim) Bruce Neville, age 65, died May 31, 2023. He was born in Nashville, TN, July 12, 1957. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. After high school, Jim joined the U.S. Air Force where he worked as a Broadcast Radio and Television engineer on bases all over the world. Following 24 years of service, Jim retired from the military as a Master Sergeant with his wife, Desh, in Colorado Springs, CO. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier and a supervisor. He received his BS in Computer Science from the Colorado Technical University and then worked as an IT contractor. Jim called many places his home including Italy, Germany, Japan, Greece, Philippines, and the US.
His hobby was writing. Jim wrote and self-published several books in an adult SciFi romance adventure series where he could integrate human behavior with computer interface. He was currently trying to get published on a young adult multiverse series at Hermes High.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Garland Neville, and a granddaughter Freya Rose Neville.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Gertrodes (Desh) Canete Neville, his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Cheryl Neville, and two granddaughters, Katana and Fiona. He is also survived by his mother Rosalie Kastroll, his stepmother Virginia Neville, sisters Linda Thomas and Elizabeth Ellzey, stepsisters Beth Foyle and Mary Kaye Foyle, stepbrother Shawn Foyle, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jim was loved and will be mourned by many in the US and Philippines. In the words of another hero in his life to his friend Jim “I have been, and always shall be, your friend.”
