

Janice Florence (Neilson) Jarman passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013, after a 2 year battle against ovarian cancer. Janice was born in Richfield, Utah on October 7, 1946, to Vance R. Neilson & Whinnie Gladys Ballinger Neilson. She grew up and attended schools in Monroe, Utah graduating from South Sevier High school in 1964. Janice also attended Snow College and graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also went to the College of Southern Utah where she majored in Elementary Education and minored in Language Arts and Early Childhood Development, and graduated in 1969. Janice taught in Las Vegas, Nevada; Antimony, Utah; & Mount Pleasant, Utah. Janice was a Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for 25 years in Monroe, Utah; Mt. Pleasant, Utah; & Eureka, Nevada. She was also a CNA for 12 years. Janice married Joseph Jarman on July 1, 1989, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah (later divorced). She adopted Joe’s twin daughters, Christina Mae, and Jennifer Rose on December 5, 1990, in Manti, Utah. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and great nephew Wyatt Jeff Chappell. She is survived by her children, Chrissy Melendy (husband Ben); Jenny Sheedy (husband Adam), as well as her Brother Jeff Neilson (wife Bev); nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, and extended family. Services will be Sat Feb 16, 2013 at 11:00am at the Colorado Springs LDS 3rd ward building at 1705 North Murray Boulevard. Additional services will be held in Monroe, Utah at a later date.
