Jeannie Bondurant

Jeannie Bondurant, age 91, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024. She was born on September 25, 1933, in McLean Texas. She graduated from Graceland College and moved to Denver Colorado where she met and married her husband Paul Bondurant on August 15, 1959. Jeannie worked at Gates Rubber Company in Denver Colorado, for more than 30 years until retiring.

She was an active member of the Community of Christ Church. Jeannie always looked forward to attending church services and sharing fellowship with everyone. She always had a smile and greeted all with genuine love, always looking for the best in people. After Paul’s passing, she continued as an Associate member of the Colorado Springs High School Alumni Association attending monthly breakfasts. She was also a lifetime member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter I. The Gold Wingers were a second family to her and Paul, they always looked out for them making sure they were taken care of.

Jeannie is survived by a daughter Alise Hunter (Monte), two grandchildren, Julie Baker (Albert) and Corey Hunter (Kelly), two great grandchildren Natalie and Rylie, siblings Mary Campbell and Tommy Knutson. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul, daughter Karen, grandson Steven, parents Youel and Margaret Knutson, and siblings Gerald Knutson and Betty Jo Thames.

Memorial Service will be held on October 30, 2024, 10:00AM at Community of Christ located at 2502 Palmer Park Blvd., 80909. The service will be live streamed using the link below. A luncheon will follow the service, everyone is welcome to come. A burial will follow the luncheon at 2:00PM at Memorial Gardens located at 3825 Airport Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Community of Christ with checks made out to Community of Christ, in the notes please add COS congregation.
