Jewell I. Jordan

Jewell Irene (Ellis) Jordan who was born on September 27, 1933 in Blackwell, OK, passed away at her home in Black Forest on May 28, 2011. After graduating from high school in Blackwell, Jewell moved to Enid, OK where she worked as a switchboard operator and licensed nurse. While in Enid, she met her husband Joe, whom she married in 1956 in Enid, OK. She traveled the world extensively as a military spouse before settling in Colorado Springs in 1964. Jewell worked locally with Ampex, National Commissions, Shamrock Foods, and as a Realtor with Walker Real Estate. Jewell was also an avid reader, gardener and genealogist.

Jewell was preceded in death by an infant daughter Patricia Lynn, sisters Virginia, WillaMae, and Naomi, as well as brothers Virgil and Leon. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joe, daughter Susan Britton and her husband Dave of San Antonio, TX, son Michael Giordano of Boise, ID, grandsons Sean and Nick Britton, and Ennio Giordano.
