Joanne Welch

Joanne was Born November 5th 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Rose Nuckols and Earl Buchanan Wilson. She was the third of four children. Growing up in Philly she loved being with her family.

She worked not only for Dell Software for many years she also loved being a cook for many school districts in Colorado Springs. She also loved being a foster parent to many children who needed a loving home for 8 years through Maple Star! She was able to retire and live her life as she wanted relaxed and to the fullest; shopping at her favorite online store, QVC, JCPenney and Burlington, lol.

She had two daughters, Elizabeth Bullock and Diana Welch; grandchildren/children that became hers as they were born, Zionah, Katiyah, and Monique Welch.

She moved to Colorado Springs in the year 2000 and resided ever since making CO home. She was always willing to help those who asked and took care of everyone as if they were her own! She devoted her life to giving love to all most of all her family; tough love but pure genuine love and comfort.

Joanne leaves Behind her daughters, Elizabeth Bullock and Diana Welch of Colorado Springs; her adored grandchildren, Zionah, Katiyah, Monique, Indmy, Tiffany, Deisha, Darius and Jesse; her great-grandbabies, ZayVion and Kaylah; great-granddaughters, Anneke and Zhenaya; great-great-granddaughter, Amelia; soon to be born, Kai’Yeari; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends

A private family viewing was held on November 4, 2025 at Chapel of Memories in Colorado Springs. Cremation will follow where her cremains will be propagated over the beautiful Rocky Mountains at her request.
