Brig. General (Ret.) John Peter Wittry passed on April 15, 2026, at the age of 96.
Monday, May 4 - 10:00 Mass at the Air Force Academy Community Center Chapel. Burial to follow at the Air Force Academy Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Eisenhower Golf Club. (Please note that access to the Air Force Academy is restricted. All visitors 18 or older to the academy are required to have a military ID or complete an online registration using a REAL ID-compliant ID at least 24 hours prior).
