Joyce A. Hanchey, age 85, passed away peacefully on 14 September 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a retired Air Force Civil Servant. She also retired as the Secretary for the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Wing Superintendent.
Mrs. Hanchey was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 5 November 1937, to Walter D. and Hellen G. Loller. She married her best friend, William V. Hanchey, on 9 April 1957, at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Tamra Rogl and her husband Joachim, a grandson Ryan Rogl, his wife Jaime and two great granddaughters, Keira and Alivia. She also leaves behind her sister Helen Gottorf and her family.
Joyce was known for her patriotism, loyalty, and pride in her duties and responsibilities. She was above all, a devoted wife and loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother.
