She married Hap Hudson Dec. 23, 1931 in Covington, NM. They lived in Carlsbad, NM and Texas for a few years where Lucille was born May 1, 1934 and Robert "Bud" was born Nov. 26, 1938 and Retha was born May 5, 1945.
In 1943 they bought a ranch in Eads, CO and lived there until 1947 when they moved to the ranch at Falcon. She was known for her beautiful garden and flowers. For a few years she was a cook at the Falcon School. The family hosted many hayrides and church picnics where she made homemade ice cream.
In 1964 they sold the ranch and moved to Colorado Springs. She worked as the head of the shipping department at Loo Art from 1965-1970. After retiring she worked part time for Platte Furniture until she was 82. In 2003 she moved to Tucson, AZ for 6 years before moving to the Inn at Gardens Plaza in 2009.
Juanita loved to have people in for meals or pie and coffee. She could always be found working in the kitchen at her church, First Foursquare Gospel in Colorado Springs, where she attended for many years.
Hap preceded her in passing on Feb. 6, 1994 as well her son Robert "Bud" and a daughter Anita, granddaughter Susan Book and recently Susan's father Bob Muhe. There are also several sweet little grandbabies greeting her in Heaven. She is the last one of 8 siblings to join her heavenly family, what a "Reunion"!
