Julie F. Witherow, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at home on August 3, 2018 after a long and brave battle with cancer. She was born in Monroeville, Indiana on September 28, 1950 to Dale and Kathryn Grabner. A lifetime educator, she touched the lives of many during her more than 20 years as an instructor, administrator and mentor at Pikes Peak Community College. A longtime Old North End resident, Julie spent many joyful summers at her lake house in Indiana where she welcomed family and friends, wrote, drew and painted. She will be deeply missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Kate Attlassy (Adil) and Andrew Witherow (Julie) and her grandchildren Ayden, Sophia, Adam, and Harrison; brother John Grabner (Louise) as well as beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, niece, nephews, great-nephews and many friends.
A gathering of remembrance and reception will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs.
