Ken was born in Ft. Collins, CO to Samuel & Carmella (Sunny), the eldest of four sons.
As an Air Force Family, they lived in Colorado, Illinois, Hawaii, Philippines, and Texas - graduating highschool in Texas and enlisting in the U.S. Navy that same year. His military service included Nuclear Power Electrician on the U.S.S Enterprise and U.S.S Coral Sea Aircraft Carriers, earning him the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, among others.
Ken met Trudy on a blind date in New Hampshire, and they corresponded via military airmail for five years before getting married in 1970. They relocated to Colorado, after starting their family.
He enjoyed hunting, crafting leather work, reading history based books, and volunteering in various capacities. As a family, many years were spent camping and rendezvousing. He never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell. As a jack of all trades, he used his skills to help many friends and family with various home repairs and projects.
He is survived by his wife Trudy, daughters Audra and Bridget (Gabriel), grandchildren Taylor (Thomas) and Garrett, two great grandchildren, and brother Tom (Ina Kay) and several Nieces and Nephews. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry and Don.
