Kurt Anthony Geist, loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on November 9, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Colorado Springs on August 26, 1970, the first son of Charles Geist and Linda Hargrove. Kurt graduated from Palmer High School in 1988. After graduation he worked with his Dad setting foundations for several years. He married the love of his life, Anne C. Stoffle on September 3, 1994. Archery became a huge part of Kurt's life in 1997 the year his daughter, Kaylee was born. In 2003 this became a family sport, with Kaylee and Anne joining him going to tournaments and hunting. He began working at Bill Pellegrino's Archery Hut, encouraging others to enjoy the sport of archery. He holds many Colorado State Archery Records and also is a founder and President of Rocky Mountain Archery Association. Kurt has enjoyed hunting and fishing his entire life, from going with his Dad and Brother to teaching Kaylee and Anne the skills. Kurt is survived by his wife, Anne C. Geist, daughter, Kaylee M. Geist, mother, Linda G. Hargrove, father, Charles A. Geist, stepmother, Linda Geist, brother, Michael C. Geist as well as Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends. A Service in Witness to the Resurrection and a Celebration of the Life of Kurt Anthony Geist will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. At Bill Pellegrino's Archery Hut, 6325 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs. Following the service, we will share stories with one another informally and support the family and friends who loved him. Please bring cookies or finger food to share, drinks will be provided.
