We were honored to have had several years of friendship with Larry.  Mike enjoyed their "man to man" visits and talks and Lesly enjoyed her times with Larry also.  One memorable day a couple of years ago we three took a car trip around the Black Forest and Monument areas with Larry relating his many years of raising a family and running a lumbering business near those places.  We stopped by a house he had built and lived in and we took pictures on the porch.  The young woman living there seemed pleased to meet the builder!  We ended the day by eating at Rosie's Diner in Monument - a good time was had by all!

As Larry moved in and out of several Assisted Living Facilities Mike continued to visit with him.  He would take Larry plates of cookies which he seemed to enjoy.  Quite a few "old timers" at Corpus Christi Church remembered both Larry and his wife and we would report on Larry's "status quo".  Several of his old friends attended his funeral so, although he didn't get to Mass at Corpus Christi in his last few years, he was not forgotten by old friends.  We will also  remember his friendship and gentle  smile.
