
surrounded by his family and our little dog, Nato. Lloyd was born in Amarillo, Texas. Following service in the Army he earned a Business Degree at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. He spent his working career in wholesale marketing for Diamond Shamrock.Corp. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 61 years, Myrtis Coltharp Thompson and sons David of Aurora, CO and Danny of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by his twin sister Lois Sims of Amarillo, TX and sister Marge Reinhold of Lake Forest, CA. His survivors include his joy, grandchildren, Daniela and Natalia of Colorado Springs, and Kyle, Kayla and Courtney of Minneapolis, MN.
Lloyd enjoyed his family, music of all kinds, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and most all country and folk music as well as classical music. He was an avid reader and sports fan. In retirement he enjoyed being a volunteer at Helen Keller Elementary School and at his home church, Calvary United Methodist in Colorado Springs. Lloyd was delighted to be around little children and pets, especially dogs.
