Mark Adelbert Thomas

Mark was born on September 12,1954 to Melvin and Mary Lou Thomas in Lancaster Ohio. Mark enjoyed working on the family farm while growing up. Mark graduated from Millersport High School in 1972 where he will be remembered for being the most phenomenal athlete in Fairfield County. Soon after graduation Mark had his first son Jared with his highschool sweetheart Erma Schumacher.

Mark ended up leaving Ohio making his way to Colorado in 1984 to spend 36 years with a view of beautiful Rocky Mountains. In 1990 Mark welcomed his second son Morgan with Paige Louis.

Mark worked at Coca-Cola for many years making lifelong friends along the way. After being injured in the job Mark made a huge decision to start his own business of Thomas Lawn care. For the next decade he built the company up to make it a successful family business. Mark passed the business down to his son Morgan where they worked together until his last breath.

Mark was able to watch his granddaughters grow while being the best Grandpa he could be. He loved being able to teach the girls how to shoot a basketball, build block towers and he would be a returning customer to the girls salon where he would have his beard and hair done.

He will be greatly missed, remembered often and loved always.

A beloved father and grandfather, he is survived by his sons Jared and Morgan (Amy) Thomas by his granddaughters Makenzee, Paytyn and Taylor. Sisters Marica and Sue.

A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 3:30 PM at Chapel of Memories, 829 South Hancock, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
