
Mary Geraldine Eisele, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, held in the love of the family she cherished so deeply. Born on June 5, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, she lived a life marked by determination, quick wit, steadfast faith, and devotion to the people around her.
She spent many years as a dedicated bookkeeper and secretary, known for her reliability, sharp mind, and the quiet strength she brought to every task. Outside of work, she found joy in traveling, needlepoint, sewing, and reading — hobbies that reflected her creativity, curiosity, and love of learning.
Her greatest pride was her family. She celebrated every milestone, every success, and every small victory of her children and grandchildren with genuine joy. She loved her friends with the same wholehearted loyalty, offering laughter, honesty, and a presence that made people feel welcome.
Mary was long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs and met her husband of 36 years, Peter Eisele at a church function. She was a woman of deep Christian faith, she carried her belief in Jesus with her through every season of life, drawing strength and comfort from it and sharing that faith with those she loved.
She is survived by her children Joe Eisele (Arda), Heather Deitemeyer (David), her grandchildren Arza Eisele, Iris Eisele, Frank Eisele, Mark Eisele, Logan Deitemeyer, and Mason Deitemeyer and her seven siblings Kathy Glastetter, Michael Eydenberg, Monte Eydenberg, Paulla Graybill, Donald Eydenberg and Lori Thomas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Peter Eisele and parents Monte Eydenberg Jr, and Dorthy Eydenberg.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held on June 5th, 2026, at 10:30 am at First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Children Incorporated (Childrenincorporated.org), an organization that was close to her heart.
