Mary Gibson was born December 5, 1933, in Thomasville, Georgia, to William and Bessie Gandy. Her husband of 64 years, Roderick, preceded her in death in 2017. Mary passed away on October 24, 2018. She is survived by her daughters Kathy and Julie, son-in-law Jim, two grandsons Brian and Michael, and her great-granddaughter, Karli.
Mary enjoyed being a military wife as it afforded her the opportunity to travel and gave her a creative outlet to entertain others, which she enjoyed so much. Her other interests included decorating, reading, cooking and gardening. She was always passionate about family, friends, animals, and God.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in the Lemberg Chapel located at 420 N. Nevada Avenue in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Thursday, November 1st, at 1 pm with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care of Colorado Springs, First United Methodist Church, or to a charity of ones choice.
