Born in Washington D.C., and spending much of her childhood in Virginia, Mary graduated Georgetown University with a degree in nursing and joined the army, where she met her husband-to-be-Lyle. With the birth of their first child Mary resigned her commission as a 1st lieutenant to pursue life as a military wife, mother of six, and travel the world.
Upon the death of her husband she re-entered the workforce while still raising young children at home. She enjoyed spending time with friends, working in the food pantry and being with her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband CW4 Lyle Karseboom (ret.), a son Bruce Karseboom, and two sisters; Aimee and Lois “Peaches”. She is survived by her other five children: Mike (Emma) Karseboom, Debie (Glenn) Metcalfe, David (Meriann Lascia) Karseboom, Patty (Gene) Blohm, Lynda (Jason Martens) Karseboom; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Rosary & viewing St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Tuesday, 5PM
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s, Wednesday, 10AM
