Mei Lei Louie

Mei Lei Louie, 86, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Feb. 20, 2015, at Brookdale Palmer Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born on Oct. 23, 1928, in Taishan, China and immigrated to the United States in 1967 with daughter Sueann Dang. Mei Lei was preceded in death by her husband, Jin Hon Louie, whom she married May 11, 1947. She is survived by her loving children, Sueann Dang and Raymond Louie.

She was a homemaker and part-time cook at the family business, Grand Cafe Chinese Restaurant. Mei Lei enjoyed morning walks with her husband, traveling, gardening, cooking and making Chinese pastries.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors. Funeral services are planned for Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Swan-Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. Burial will follow immediately at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
