It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Hoosier, lovingly known as “Mikey.” Michael tragically lost his life in a car accident on May 15, 2025, in Colorado Springs, CO, with one of his best friends, Blake.
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Michael brought joy, warmth, and light to all who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, the 20 years we had with him were filled with unforgettable moments and deep love. His bright spirit, compassionate heart, and radiant smile left a lasting impact on everyone around him.
Michael was known for his strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. His employer recently shared that Michael never stood idly—he was always the first to ask what needed to be done next. He approached life with dedication and integrity, and it showed in everything he did.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Michael found peace and happiness in nature. He loved camping, hiking, and fishing—especially when shared with friends or family. We are grateful he was able to spend a final camping trip with his dad and brothers the weekend before his passing.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Michael Scott and Arisbeth Del Rocio Hoosier; his older brothers, Daniel and Phillip; his Grandpa Joe, Grandma Marilyn, and Grandpa Hito; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him. He is preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Hita.
Michael’s life was a gift to us all. We will hold his memory close in our hearts, treasuring the laughter, the love, and the countless moments of joy he gave us. He will be deeply and forever missed.
