Although 60 at the time of his passing, Mike affected many people in his lifetime. He was a compassionate son, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend. Mike would always help you if you needed it and even when you didn’t realize that you did. He enjoyed painting in his youth, skiing, fishing, playing guitar, listening to classic rock, and having a good time with friends and family.
Mike was born in Germany and moved to several different places before the family settled down in Colorado Springs.
In the winter months Mike was an avid skier and competed in many competitions throughout his skiing career. In the summer months, he loved to fly fish and be outdoors. Mike worked in carpentry for the majority of his life. He worked independently or with his brothers.
Mike was committed to his friends and family. He was the eldest of four children. His father, Clinton Cross, preceded him in passing. He is survived by his mother Carla (Hollingsworth). Besides his parents, Mike leaves behind his sister, Christina (Hartzler); and brothers, Bob and Steve; and their wives Kim and Carol Cross. Mike was uncle to several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces.
