

Muriel Irene Haase was born on December 13, 1917 to Iva Sarah Young and Charles Edgar Blair in Harrisburg, Colorado. She passed away peacefully on August 7, 2011 surrounded by her daughters.
Muriel was a Colorado native. She and her husband owned and operated H & H Printing Company from 1947 to 1987. Muriel was a Girl Scout Leader and was an active 4-H Leader for 23 years. She was an excellent seamstress, loved quilting and needlework and made drapes for numerous years for many businesses, family members and friends.
Muriel is survived by her four daughters, Phyllis Townsend of Avondale, AZ; Barbara (Keith) Moore of Windsor, CO; Marla Kyle of Colorado Springs, CO; and Nancy (Jim) Novotny of Littleton, CO; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Alta (Elvin) Cotton of Washougal, WA and Marilyn (Roy) Paxson of Tulsa, OK, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Muriel was preceded in death by her husband, Willard August Haase, her parents Sarah Young Blair and Charles Blair; Sister Dorothy Hoover; Brothers Clifford and Jack Blair.
The Service is being held on August 11, 2011, which would have been Muriel and Willard’s 71st Wedding Anniversary, as well as, Willard’s birthday.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 North Cascade, Colorado Springs, CO. The Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Restoration Church, 9355 Peaceful Valley Road, Colorado Springs, CO. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, 1780 Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice or Cystic Fibrosis.
